When is it appropriate to visit the temple after a family member has passed away?

We recommend that you wait until 7 days after the funeral before visiting the temple.

What is Prohibited in the temple?

The temple strictly prohibits third-party videography and photography, as well as any advertising or promotions for online or offline shopping, auctions, or sales, without prior permission from the temple’s management.

What is the difference between God of Wealth Blessing Lamps and Goddess of Mercy Blessing Lamps?

God of Wealth Blessing Lamps are typically lit to invoke prosperity, wealth, and financial success. Devotees may light these lamps in homes, businesses, or temples to attract wealth, improve business prospects, or ensure financial stability. The light symbolizes the illumination of pathways to prosperity and the dispelling of financial difficulties.

Goddess of Mercy Blessing Lamps are dedicated to Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. They are lit to seek her blessings for compassion, peace, health, and protection from harm. Devotees light these lamps to seek spiritual guidance, emotional support, healing, and protection for themselves and others. Guanyin is especially venerated in times of distress or when seeking comfort and mercy. The light represents compassion, hope, and the dispelling of suffering and negativity.

When should I worship Tai Sui at the temple during Chinese Lunar New Year?

From the 1st day to the 30th day of the Chinese New Year.

What is the procedure to Worship Tai Sui During Chinese Lunar New Year?

  1. Devotees may first need to purchase the Tai Sui joss paper set from the counter.
  2. Next, you will need to write your name, zodiac sign, year of birth, and lunar calendar age on the prayer script.
  3. Our Master Taoist priests will then guide devotees in worshiping Tai Sui.
  4. Finally, burn three joss sticks and the joss papers as an offering to Tai Sui, symbolizing the completion of the prayers.
